Tea time Roses...
I wonder how many teacups have roses on them.
I have many, many cups and I would venture to say,
the majority are adorned with roses.
We have a Regency, Hammersley,
Royal Crown Staffordshire and
Royal Albert Lavender Rose.
I think they all look great together.
Just like in the garden...
Here is a close-up of the Lavender Rose.
The Royal Crown Staffordshire
And, the Hammersley. I love it's upright shape.
Lady B went to Paris this year and brought back
~delicate & delicious~
Please notice the spoon.
(I love and collect silver tea spoons.)
This is an old one that was in my family.
It belonged to my Aunt Ruthie.
I was named after her but sadly, never met her.
The spoon is showing the masks
of comedy and tragedy.
It has the name and face of Anita Stewart.
Even the back has wonderful detail.
Engraved flowers and February, which was
the month she was born in.
Even though I did not know who she was,
I thought the spoon was special.
Fun to take a peak into the past.
Perhaps your garden is displaying
the last roses of summer...
***Don't forget to stop and smell them ***
Hope everything is rosy, Dame Ruthie
