Love is All Around Us, Come on and Let it Show

Give Love

Have you sent your Valentines?

We now have two choices of stamps for Valentine's Day.

I love this old Valentine card I have saved since
I was a child. It was an oldie then. It has flattened
over the years but it was dimensional with each layer
standing away from one another.

Cupid is coming to pay a visit...

I found these new dishes in Tuesday Morning.
While I prefer old plates, I was drawn to these
because they say, right on the front:
Made in England.

I fell in Love with them
and bought just two of each for my
Valentine and me.

Have you ever noticed how the handle is of a mug or cup is
half of a heart?

Here they are showing you, right on the handle,
hey, we were made in England. :)

I heart tea
Heart healthy

I found these little cupcake skirts and toppers at the same time.

Do you see that our little lady bug is serving tea?

"Son, brother, father, lover, friend.
There is room in the heart for all the affections,
as there is room in heaven for all the stars."
-
Victor Hugo

"Write it on your heart
that every day is the best
day in the year."
Ralph Waldo Emerson
"Wherever you go,
go with all your
heart."
Confusious

Have you seen these little trinket boxes?
This one has a wee spoon on the saucer
and a heart in the teacup.

Inside there is a marshmallow.

Thanks to Phyllis who was so generous with her give away.
I received my book, wall hanging, tea bags and don't
miss that darling sparkly teacup pin.

There were two tea towels and I had to show them close up.
Look at the details and the buttons which make them as cute
as a button in my eyes.

They are so reminiscent of antique pillow cases which were
lovingly hand sewn.
Thank you, Phyllis from Relevant Tea Leaf.

She sent also sent along this card.
Isn't it sweet?

I received this lovely book as a Valentine's gift from Canada.
It has pictures that Jane Seymour painted. Yes, she not only looks gorgeous, is a wonderful actress, but she paints beautifully too.
I hope you will all keep an open heart and share your love.
~Happy Valentine's Day, friends~

Dame Ruthie neglected to mention that she met Jane Seymour in person at an art gallery and had the opportunity to speak with this lovely talented lady

Ha, Lady B failed to mention she has a Jane Seymour hanging her home! It sure is a pretty one too. Yes, she was very approachable and looked as great in person as on tv.

"Love Is All Around Us," by the Troggs was one of the first songs my now hubby and I listened to when we first met.
What pretty things you have won, Ruthie! Each one is so special. The tea towels are so sweet, and your new mugs and plates are really cute. Yes, I have always noticed that the handles create a heart when placed together. Thank you for coming to tea and have a gorgeous day.

Blessings,
Sandi

Valentine's Day just makes me happy. Your post is pretty, and there are so many 'love'ly things to look at. I feel almost giddy finding old valentines from the mid 20th century - not easy to come upon today.
Very nice to hear about Jane Seymour. What is your painting like, Lady B?
I bet Jane enjoyed meeting Dame Ruthie just as much as Dame Ruthie enjoyed meeting Jane. <3
