It's January! Tea Time!!

Welcome 2013!
My sister-in-law knew I would love
this year's tea calendar and I sure do.

It's time to enjoy some of the fun things
we have recieved for Christmas.

My dear friend in Canada sent me many
wonderful gifts. Many were tea-themed
because she knew I would love them.
Fortnum & Mason is one of my 2 favorite
stores in London and their tea is the best
.

Lady B and I always wish we could have a tea house.
We are always saying, "If I had my tea room...."
Well, if I had mine, wouldn't this tea towel make a
wonderful chair cover?

Teapot number 2 from the top looks like one we
received as a wedding gift. I love the graphics.
We could frame it too for that illusive tea room.

Here is another wonderful towel my Canadian friend gifted me
along with this enamel teapot which I Adore!!!

She also sent me a tea towel from the Empress Hotel
in Victoria. We had a glorious tea there when we visited.

Another tea towel~
love this fabric~
you will see why...

It is right at home in my blue and white
china filled home.

My sister in law gave me these sweet little napkins.

I know others have shown this book before.
It also came from my friend in Canada and I must tell
you it is so wonderful. You would enjoy it greatly and I
am sure like me, you will want to go to every Betty's.

Yesterday Lady B and I went out to tea in
a cute little thriving tea place. We both
came home with a treasure besides the
memory of a lovely tea afternoon.

I have never heard of this china name before. It is called Royal Taunton. Up close the gold designs look like little snowflakes.
Ah, sweet thoughts of blooming roses in the middle of winter...

My pal in Canada also finds fun tea cards for me.
Don't you love him?
He looks blissful, content and is smiling under his mustache.
Wish you could fly over and have a cuppa with him as I do?

Hi Ruthie,
you got a lot of wonderful toys for tea parties. And the towels are all very pretty. Your home looks outstanding with the blue and white and yellow china. But your new find is a hit. Such a pretty trio with rose and snow flakes. Thank you for sharing all the nice items with us. I wish you wonderful tea times with those treasures.
Best greetings, Johanna

What wonderful things you have received from your friend in Canada. She must live in BC where they seem to have a lot more tea paraphernalia than they do in the east. Love the tea towels! My sister lives in BC and sent me some sweet tea things too. Enjoy the week.

Hi Ruthie,
I wish I had a tea room too so that I can share the joy of drinking tea and show all my tea cups and talk to my customers while making tea and... and...

Lovely tea towel you have there.

What fabulous goodies! And I must say, you've suddenly got me wanting to tear into my stash of tea towels and see if any of them are big enough to upholster a chair back or seat. What a great-great-great idea!

Pamela Gordon - I'm Ruthie's friend in Canada and I live in Calgary, Alberta.
I agree with you that BC has a great selection of tea things, and especially Victoria.
Lucky to live not far away! :)
