Christmas Decorating and Tea Celebrations

This weekend, three friends hosted a
beautiful and fun tea party to mark their
65th birthdays.

They decorated the tables with teacup vignettes
which were perched on a hatbox.

Aren't they lovely? I was drawn to this teacup,
a Paragon and the Royal Albert sugar & creamer
called SeƱorita with black Spanish lace.

This is only one course of the wonderful food we had.
Cocktails first~Bellini's, passed hors d'ouevres, salad,
sandwiches....

Another pretty and feminine centerpiece

And another

Our little take home gift

Wonderful desserts

Tasty and presented oh so pretty...

See what I mean?

Happy Birthday girls. Now I ask you? Do these gals look 65?
Now you are stepping into my living room here in Florida for a
peek at some Christmas decorations.

Most of my decorations, collected over the years are up north so I have been collecting a few new ones down here.

Sparkle and glitter
Last year we stayed with my daughter because we
were awaiting the birth of her second baby.
Katherine Eileen was born on Dec. 27th.
While there, in the Panhandle of Florida, I did a little after Christmas shopping at Dillards and started
 a new Santa collection.

They may be new but they have an old-time
charm to them. Maybe someday they will
go to little Katherine.

These ole Santas traveled down from NY
with us. They have such great details.

My first tea-themed tree

I am over the moon with my new Christmas Teapot.
It is from the Victorian Trading Company and came
in a beautiful, sturdy decorated box to boot.

The teapot goes great with my dishes.

Here are a few of them.

I know hearts are heavy at this time.
Hold your loved ones closer.
Make wonderful memories with a
Happy Christmas
and pray for those families in
Connecticut.

Oh, so much to comment on! First, those birthday gals not only don't look 65, they don't even look 55! Must be good livin', eh? And your home in Florida is gorgeous! (I'm writing a mystery set at the beach, and if it becomes a series, I've been wondering what I'd describe a Christmas scene at the beach as looking like. Now I know!) I also loved seeing all those great tea ornaments, so many of which I've not seen before! And now I'm off to check out Victorian Trading Co. Have a great day!

Hi Ruthie,
Thank you for your visit today and your very nice comment. Yes, I make my own fruit cake every year; a light one and a dark one. I always have good success with them both, which is a good thing because they are a lot of work!
You have a lovely home. Have a beautiful Christmas, my friend.

Christmas blessings,
Sandi
