Tea Cup Thursday

Okay, give me a break! I just came back from across the pond and have so many things to share with you. I am beginning by sharing this Diamond Jubilee tea cup. It is so pretty! I have gotten away from purchasing commemoratives, but just had to have this one!
Look at the lovely saucer!
This set is so pretty with the deep green and gold.
A close-up of the gold silhouette of the queen.
Here is the back of the teacup.
As you can see, I purchased it in Harrod's  It's one of my favorite stores in London. It wasn't crowded which is a first for me. I think it had to do with the impending Olympics. We could get a seat anywhere in the food court which is highly unusual! Stay tuned for more about my trip to London. I have so much to share I don't know where to begin! Cheers for now.

Tea Cup Thursday

It's funny how you build your collections. I found the green and white tea cup at a yard sale, the orange and white one was given to me by my friend Carol and the rose tea cup was purchased at a consignment shop. They are all like children to me. I remember each one. Dame Ruthie and I were at a yard sale last weekend and as we perused, certain things looked very familiar. Please click on the pictures to see closeups.
These three dishes caught my eye. I knew I had the matching cups!
I was really lucky to get this one. They didn't put it out until the second day!
The three trios in their glory!
You won't believe this yard sale find!! Same yard sale! Fifty cents!! Again I felt like a thief!
See the pretty rose inside the cup. And of course the gold trim!
Such a gorgeous saucer!
This cup is from the Edwardian Collection, made in England. Oh, by the way, the beautiful tablecloth was also a yard sale find! OK, I know, it's addicting but lots of fun!
